PAWTUCKET, R.I. - Police on Sunday pulled an unoccupied sedan from the water in Pawtucket, after a fisherman spotted it.
The Nissan sedan was found around 11 a.m. Sunday morning by a fisherman who spotted it and called police. Police from Cumberland also helped get the car out of the river, but officials quickly found the car to be abandoned.
Police tell ABC6 news that it's likely the car was stolen and taken on a joyride by an unknown suspect, and that it was likely stolen out of Providence.
So far, police have not named any suspects.
