PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a 19 year-old woman at gunpoint while she was waiting for the bus.
Police say the robbery happened early Saturday morning, around 6:20 a.m. A 19 year-old Providence woman was waiting for the bus on Plainfield Street at Laurel Street, when a man approached her with a gun and demanded her valuables.
According to police, the robber made off with the woman's iPhone. As soon as he took off running, the woman ran home herself and called police.
The woman was not hurt, but police say it may be easier to find the man because iPhone signals can easily be tracked and located.
If the robber is caught, police say he could face a charge of Armed Robbery in the First Degree, a felony.
