Wind gusts and heavy rains travel through Southern New England Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. The conditions severe enough to cause damage and make for a messy commute. Wind gusts over 60 MPH in some spots, up to 57 MPH in Providence.
If you can, try to avoid stepping outside for the next couple of hours to allow for the worst of this weather system to pass through. Good news, temperatures are incredibly mild out there. By noontime, the rain is expected to stop, the sun will be out.
There are active power outages and school delays because of this storm.
