Donations collected for victims of Taunton apartment fire

Two Taunton elementary schools are collecting donations for individuals displaced by a Sunday night fire at Chateau Estates on Hart Street.

Dozens were displaced by the fire and many lost all of their personal belongings.

East Taunton Elementary School and Barnum Elementary School are now asking the community for donations of gift cards, children's clothing sizes 5,6 and 10, household items, or money.

Those interested in making a donation can donate by contacting East Taunton Elementary School at 508.821.1330 or Barnum Elementary School at 508.821.1352.
