Temperatures in the single digits and wind chills below zero, wouldn't it be nice to escape to a warm tropical island this week? Local travel agencies say they have been seeing people acting on that dream, especially this week. Lynn Price, who works at Cruise With Us Now in Cranston says, "I'm finding more and more last minute calls than calls with people planning for the summer."
The most popular and easy to book last minute locations Lynn says are The Bahamas, Aruba, and different cruises. "You know if your flexible, there are fabulous deals out there, there are a lot of promotions, you see it on Hawaii on really any travel destination."
If you are planning on taking a trip somewhere to work on your tan, Lynn recommends keeping in mind that it is winter and flights may be disrupted by the weather, so when possible, direct flights are always best to assure you get to your destination and if you are going on a cruise, it's best to arrive a day before the ship departs.
