If you're planning on dining in Providence bring your appetite. It's restaurant week in the capitol city. Starting today more than 100 area restaurants are offering special deals and menus. At participating eateries a 3 course lunch will run you just $14.95 and a 3 course dinner $29.95. It's all in an effort to attract new customers and boost business.
"We usually get you know a couple hundred extra customers that we wouldn't normally come by. I like to debut thing to them that these are items on a new menu coming out soon," said Snookers general manager David Livesey.
Providence was recently voted as the number one food city in the US by Leisure and Travel magazine. The event runs for 2 full weeks.
