FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) _ Brandon Lloyd spent nine seasons in the NFL without playing in a single postseason game. His wait ends Sunday.
The wide receiver in his first year with the New England Patriots will make his playoff debut against the Houston Texans. So will two five-year veterans, cornerback Aqib Talib and defensive end Trevor Scott.
Before the season, the Patriots signed Lloyd and Scott as free agents. They obtained Talib on Nov. 1 in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Lloyd said his goal since he was a kid was to play in the Super Bowl and the only way to do that is to make the playoffs. So Sunday's game is just the beginning of a road that he hopes will end with a championship.
