Two men who were involved in a dispute over a dirt bike in West Warwick that left one man dead have been indicted on murder.

On Jan. 7 the Statewide Grand Jury indicted 23-year-old Justin Schoomaker with one count of murder and 21-year-old Christopher Schreffler with one count of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of second degree murder.

It is alleged that on Feb. 25 Schreffler assaulted Michael Nigro with a flashlight outside of Michael Parrish's home. Schoonmaker is accused of running over Parrish with his Jeep once in reverse and then again going forward. Parrish later died from blunt force trauma injuries.

The dispute between the men is alleged to have begun earlier in the day when Parrish complained about Schreffler riding his dirt bike noisily outside his home.

Schoonmaker and Schreffler later returned to Parrish's property to confront him.

A third man w, Marvin Abercrombie, was in the vehicle at the time of the incident. He was arrested on charges of disorderly conducted.
