Notorious Rhode Island mobster Frank "Bobo" Marrapese rejected a plea deal from prosecutors in Rhode Island Superior Court on Tuesday.
The deal, nine years to serve with no option of credit for time served, was quickly rejected by Marrapesse who appeared before Judge Netti Vogel to formally hear the plea deal. Marrapesse is charged with seven counts of conspiracy for his role in a statewide gambling operation in which several ‘mobsters' were implicated.
The case will now head to trial although a date has not yet been scheduled. He faces a total of ten years behind bars if he is convicted of charges. Marrapesse is represented by former house speaker John Harwood.
