Flu season at its peak, hospitalizations on the rise

Rhode Island is in peak flu season and hospitalizations for flu–related illnesses are on the rise. There are currently about 14 flu–related hospitalizations a day. About 9 percent of emergency room visits in the last week were related to flu–like illnesses.

The Department of Health says this year's flu season could be the worst in years and is urging you to get vaccinated.
