Woonsocket woman arrested for "shooting" gestures toward a teacher

Police were called to the Pothier Elementary School in Woonsocket this morning after a teacher said a woman outside on the sidewalk made a threatening gesture towards her.

Police say woman, identified as Vanice Armstrong, made eye contact with the teacher, who was inside. Armstrog then made gun shapes with her hands and pretended to shoot at the teacher and then laughed.

Police spoke with Armstrong who denied the allegations. She was taken into custody after a brief struggle and will be arraigned  for Disorderly Conduct in Providence District Court this afternoon.
