PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Police are searching for a man who stabbed his girlfriend multiple times in her second-story bedroom and fled the scene.
Police say they were called to 92 Pettys Ave around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning where they found a 33 year-old woman with stabs and slashes to her left arm.
According to police, a witness in the apartment told them that the woman and her boyfriend were arguing. The witness told police they saw the man take out a knife and stab the woman several times. The man then fled the apartment, according to police.
Police say the victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The man has not yet been arrested, but police say they are searching for him.
