The Smithfield girls soccer team returned to the Division one championship game, and this time emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over South Kingstown Monday at RIC.
The Sentinels scored three minutes into the game on a goal by Victoria Carter. The Rebels tied it on a free kick from Elecia Cardarelli. But the sister sister connection of Brooke and Alex Jenkins provided the game winner in the second half.
Exeter/West Greenwich made it three straight wins in Div. II with a 2-1 win over Tiverton, after the Tigers struck first.
And the state's leading scorer Chelsea Dowler tallied her 39th and 40th goals of the season to life Middletown to a 5-0 win over Toll Gate in Division 3.
