Matt Blanchette joined ABC 6 in September 2012 as a Sports Anchor and Reporter.
A native Rhode Islander, Matt grew up in Glocester in the Northwest part of the state and went to Ponaganset High School. He then attended Boston University, graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
After college Matt embarked on a tour of the Midwest, with stops at television stations in Michigan, Wisconsin and Kansas. He covered the Packers and Chiefs, and is happy to be back within the confines of Patriots nation.
During his career, Matt was fortunate to cover NFL playoff games, an MLB All-star game and a NCAA Final Four.
He is happy to be back in Rhode Island and looks forward to telling the local stories about the state's many high schools, colleges and athletes.
