One local business is taking advantage of the hype surrounding the risque "50 Shades of Grey" Trilogy. Cranston florist "Twigs" placed a sign outside of it's business that reads "Even Christian Grey sent flowers."
For those who aren't familiar with the books, Christian Grey is the dreamy character who plays a wealthy bachelor, with commitment issues. The owner says he thought the sign would attract attention, and it has.
Owner Bobby Bach says, "We have people that will pull up and take a picture of the sign, I see it on social media, it shows up all over the place, I have people that are calling and asking who is Christian Grey?"
Jennifer Noriega says she pulled over to take a picture of the sign and uploaded it to facebook. The post already has 50 likes.
"I love that sign out there. probably people are going to come in here, even guys will be like oh let me go get my girlfriend flowers," laughed Noriega.
Bach says he's not sure the sign is boosting business, but it's definitely giving them extra exposure.
The blockbuster series, 50 Shades of Grey has sold 20 million copies in the last four months.
