Twenty people who used to be homeless are honored

Posted: Updated:

Many that are homeless, face numerous challenges, but with a lot of determination ,20 formerly homeless people received awards- for overcoming obstacles. The music of life is sweeter, for twenty people who used to be homeless. At the West Warwick Senior center were honored for overcoming overwhelming odds-they had some help from the Kent center's road home program. The future is brighter for Ken Jordan, he overcame many obstacles and was homeless for four months, he's happy to get to this point where he is right now.The same can be said for Marie Ingarro, she's seen tough times...and has over come them. One valuable lesson these twenty former homeless folks have learned- is that homelessness does not mean hopelessness.
