Frank Lombardi to run for state senate

The man who led the charge to save the Cranston West prayer banner has his sights set on becoming a state senator.

Frank Lombardi has announced his candidacy for the District 26 seat opened by Bea Lanzi deciding not to run.

Lombardi, a Democrat, launched his campaign at a restaurant in Cranston.
