Junior Seau 'S death could be the third former football player to kill himself in the last fourteen months-and one of five over the last seven years..some Doctors and experts are saying a lot of retired athletes could have been from suffering chronic traumatic encephalography , a degenerative brain disease found in individuals who have suffered multiple concussions Doctor Joseph Friedman is a neurologist at Butler hospital...he says C-T-E can also cause depression but says there are other factors that could lead to football players committing suicide.He says,it might contribute to depression but other factors such as losing the fame and celebrity could play a role. Coaches and athletes who play the game , say in light of the new information about concussions and potential damage to the brain, everyone ,is taking precautions.
Bryan Balbour played three years for Hope High school and will hopefully play linebacker at Fitchburg state in the Fall. He says concussions are happening a lot and coaches will keep you off of the field until you cleared by a Doctor.
Researchers at Boston University are trying to obtain Seau's brain to determine if the depression that plagued him late in life- could be linked to brain damage he suffered on the football field.
