Airmen Jeremy Gamache- was just twenty-nine years old when he arrived from back home after serving in Korea..but just one week later he and his wife of five months,Amanda-Jo- were killed in a car crash on a Georgia highway,Jeremy Gamache's family wanted to do something in remembrance of their beloved son,who also served in Iraq and won numerous medals.
They started up a college scholarship:His Mother and Dad say,we wanted to do something that would help other kids so we went with dollars for scholars.His Dad says if you needed help or you needed something, Jeremy would be the first one to raise his hand to volunteer.Jeremy Gamache left behind a young daughter ,his parents , hoping this scholarship will always be a reminder of his service to his country,-and his giving spirit..The first scholarship will be awarded in May and any Fall River high school student can apply.
