More than 500 local students heard about a very important issue today , bullying.
A national" stop bullying "campaign made it's way to Woonsocket Middle School.
Organizers say it's important to educate kids about the dangers of bullying -in light of what happened to twelve year old Alicia Ferrer,who was beaten by four girls-after calling one of their ex-boyfriends cute. Alicia and her mother were at a rally with five-hundred students at Woonsocket's Hamlet and Villa Nova Middle school- as part of a stop bulllying campaign..Alicia speaking only to ABC6,saying,- in light of what happened to her-when she was bullied, programs like this are desperately needed.Alicia says"I think it will wind up stopping everything that is going on , and I think that people will have a better chance of helping themselves if they do get bullied"Alicia 'S mother, Principal and teachers are hoping programs like this, will move kids forward and away from bullying.
