Massachusetts State Police say they made an arrest today of a wanted serial robber. Scott Niemic, 34, from Swansea was arrested in Fall River after a police chase.
Niemic was wanted for robbing a Sovereign Bank on Post Road in Warwick, as well as seven banks in Massachusetts.
An FBI agent says he saw Niemic's car on route 24 in Raynham and called State Police. Both of them chased Niemic into Fall River, where Niemic crashed into a car and a pole at Bedford and Troy streets. Niemic was arrested on a Rhode Island warrant and he was taken to Rhode Island Hospital to be treated.
Niemic has been on Rhode Island's Most Wanted Criminal list since April 3rd, 2012, when police say he robbed the bank in Warwick.
