
A bitter divide outside the Rhode Island State House Sunday afternoon, as members of the "National Organization for Marriage" were met by angry protesters.
The group is in town as part of a 19 state bus tour, opposing same sex marriage. Currently, same sex marriage is legal in four New England states, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire, but not Rhode Island, and protesters say they want to keep it that way.
There have been a couple of attempts at passing a same sex marriage bill in Rhode Island, but it's never gotten out of debate.
